The Summer 20th Anniversary Bus Tour has successfully concluded, and has been one of the most exciting and wonderful tours thus far. But wait -there’s still more to be excited about! The 20th Anniversary WINTER TOUR will be in none other than the Caribbean, in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. That’s right, this is a brand new location and a whole new experience, and it’ll be jammed pack full of harinams, rathayatra festivals, snorkeling and pristine beaches and much more. Below is our tentative schedule, but see more details here.
December 17, Meet up in Alachua, Florida at the start of the tour.
December 18-20, Atlanta 24-Hour Kirtan festival. We’ll drive with our bus from Alachua to Atlanta at the beginning of the tour, where we’ll have lots of getting-to-know-each-other group activities and introductions. Two days of blissful kirtans in Atlanta will be a great start to the tour.
December 21, The Journey to Puerto Rico. We’ll drive with our bus from Atlanta to Orlando, and board various flights to Puerto Rico, trying to stay together as a group as much as possible. Shuttles will pick us up at the other end and transport us to our PR accommodations near the temple.
December 22-26, Harinamas and adventure activities in towns and villages around Puerto Rico. Exploring the rainforest at El Yunque National Park. Kayaking a bioluminescent bay. Christmas 12-Hour Kirtan at Puerto Rico temple. Tourist sight-seeing in the old town of San Juan. Swimming at waterfalls and Caribbean beaches.
December 27, Puerto Rico Ratha-yatra festival in San Juan.
December 28, The Journey to the Dominican Republic.

Flying in/ Flying out
Tuesday, July 7th is the ideal day for flying in. August 25th is the ideal day for flying out. We can arrange airport pickups and drop-offs for those days. On Monday, August 24th the bus tour will do a float trip together on the Ichetucknee river, followed by a bus tour after-party in the evening.
NOTE: Do not book airfare until your application has been approved.
The tour starts July 8, 4:00 pm, and ends August 23, 4:00 pm, at the ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple in Alachua, Florida. If you’re flying in to meet us, here are the preferred airports:
Gainesville, Florida (GNV). 50-minutes round-trip from Alachua. $25 per pick-up or drop-off.
Jacksonville, Florida (JAX). 3 hours round-trip from Alachua. $75 per pick-up or drop-off.
Orlando, Florida (MCO). 5 hours round-trip from Alachua. $135 per pick-up or drop-off.
(UK and European youth can save by flying into Orlando on the same day, arriving as a group, and we’ll arrange a group pickup / drop-off. As of March 14, round-trip tickets from London to Orlando were $730 / £495, about $400 less than flying into JAX or GNV.)
Coordinate your arrival and departure plans with us and we may be able to have you share an airport ride with other tour participants, which will reduce your shuttle costs.
