We are currently accepting applications from ISKCON youth ages 18 and older to travel on the Mexico Bus Tour. You should be of good moral character, have a deep interest in learning more about Krishna consciousness—Bhakti-yoga—and be ready to live a yogi’s lifestyle for the duration of your travels with us.
Your application will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis by our panel of volunteer organizers. Taking your time to answer each question in detail will help us evaluate your application. Please attach a current photo of yourself, as well as three recommendation letters from respectable people who can vouch for your good character and behavior. Here is the Mexico Bus Tour Application Form. Copy and paste it into an email, fill it out, and send it to us via the email address indicated. If you’ve come on the tour before, fill out the form briefly.
After your application has been approved and you’ve been accepted to come on the tour, please fill out this registration form and sign it in the presence of a notary public, a legal witness. If you’re under 18, have your parents read and sign their section (the right column) in the presence of a notary public. Please take a photo of and email a copy of the signed and notarized registration to us. Bring the original with you when you come on the tour.
Payment for the Mexico Bus Tour
As soon as your application has been approved, please submit a $350 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot on the Mexico Bus Tour. The remainder of your tour fees will be due when you meet up with us. Click on the “Donate” tab in the navigation menu and use the big “Donate” button to make your payment via PayPal. Please add 5% to cover the PayPal transaction service fees. (For a $350 deposit, that would be $18, so a total of $368) When you get your email receipt from PayPal, please forward a copy to us. If you live in the USA and you’d like to avoid paying the PayPal service fees, just send us a check or money order (in US dollar currency) payable to ISKCON Youth Ministry, and mail to our post office box:
ISKCON Youth Ministry
P.O. Box 283
Alachua, FL 32616
After you’ve mailed your payment, please notify us that it’s in the mail.
Here’s a packing list with helpful information about what to bring, and what to leave at home. Also included, a most essential items checklist. Make sure you have a valid passport. If you’re not a citizen of the USA, Canada, Western Europe or Australia, you may need to obtain a visa to enter Mexico.
